My urchin collection was all found by James along the beach at Piller Point, which is located near Half Moon Bay, California. The urchin shells seem to only be found on shore certain times of the year. I have never found an unbroken one myself, he has been lucky, they seem to get tangled up in seaweed on the shore. I have several others besides those pictured. I know you can purchase them from shell shops, but there is something magical about finding them yourself.

Missing the Beach....
