Welcome to Old Soul Studios, We love vintage and aged items that portray a silent story about them. We create new items from salvaged items and create new stories, kind of like the makings of "An Old Soul". We love the art of making something out of nothing, making something old into something new!

Last year for Christmas my sweetie gifted me boxes full of vintage decorations to add to my collection, when I opened one particular box it took my breath away! It was after the holidays so I stored them away (peeking once or twice throughout the year) then yesterday I opened the box again to use the items in my decorating and just the gathering of them all together in their old ornament box, cushioned with old tissue, just waiting to be loved again(they had been stored for  many years) took my breath away once again!  I don't just see them as items, I see stories, other peoples lives, and things they cherished because they represented the good times in their lives.  I will cherish them and hope that someday they will once again end up in the hands of another that will not only cherish them but respect the love that they must hold.

  2. Beautiful ornaments! I agree with you, stories would wander my mind on each ornament! I love them sitting in the box next to each other...if only we could see the energy of times past with each! Very cool! New to visit your blog, loving the doorknob garden and walking sticks! ~Cheryl

  3. Hi Jacque, Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog post. I agree, the ornaments take your breath away. So many eyes have viewed them on so many Christmases past. Someone loved each of them and packed them carefully away each year so that they would travel into your hands. Why buy anything new when there are so many treasures from the past? I just love your blog name. I'm getting a fresh cup of coffee so I can sit down and explore some more. Thanks, Pam
